6NET

6NET was a European project dedicated to advancing the understanding and deployment of IPv6 technologies. More information about the project can be found at: www.6net.org

In order to gain a better understanding of the field of network mobility I have been carrying out work as part of the 6 month extension to this project. Lancaster University produced three demonstrators over the duration of this extention, each of which revolve around the use of mobile networking technologies and I have been innvolved in the development of all of them.

For further information about each of the individual demonstrators, please follow the links to the seperate demonstartor sections below. Or for a brief overview of all of the demonstrators please see the following presentation: 6NET Demonstrators Overview

Cisco 3200 Series Mobile Access Router (M.A.R.)

Much of the work carried out for the 6NET demonstrators was based on the use of the Cisco 3200 M.A.R. which at the time was still a reletively unknown peice of hardware. Our team developed considerable experience with the M.A.R.s and produced some overview and configuration help documents to help others who were carrying research with these devices. These documents can be found here: 3200 Series M.A.R. Info (These documents are outdated and are no longer maintained).
